On wednesday we learned that no mater how hard things are going, God is still in our boat. The pastor shared the story of when Jesus was on a boat with fisherman and a big storm hit. Jesus was sleeping on a pillow and didn't panic because he did not fear because he was in control of the storm. God never falls asleep on us. We have to believe and have faith in him and trust that he's there for us. I believe if he didn't love us he wouldn't have died on the cross for us. If he didn't care about us, he wouldn't have healed the sick and helped the homeless. God will never fall asleep on us he's always there!

First Week of Home School

Last week we worked on taking diagnostic tests and establishing our routine. Devotions, Success Essay, Typing, Election 101, Physical Ed groundwork. If you want to talk about devotions with Mariah, she memorized:

Psalm 1
1 Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.

4 The ungodly are not so,
But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

During our discussions of success and what that means from a Christian worldview, Psalm 1 was very instrumental. Ask her about it!
